As a long-time resident of Millbrae, Anna is very invested in the health and well being of our community. Although born and raised in New York, Millbrae has been her home since 1980. The focus of her career has been education. She has held teaching and counseling positions at Capuchino High School and Mills High School primarily with shorter assignments at Aragon, Hillsdale and Peninsula High Schools. Prior to this time, Anna taught at St. John Ursuline High School for Girls, Heald College and Golden Gate University in San Francisco. While in graduate school, she taught Saturday traffic school which was housed on the USF Campus.
Other endeavors include being a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for a foster child, a San Francisco City Guide, and a member of the American Association of University Women (AAUW). During the academic year, Anna volunteers in third grade at Lomita Park Elementary School.
Anna and her husband, Robert, have one daughter, Emily, who has been educated in the Millbrae Elementary School District. Emily participated in many of the after-school sports’ programs and eventually coached some girls’ volleyball teams. Anna's family has benefitted from many of the services Millbrae offers including the library and feel now is the time to insure that Millbrae continues to thrive.
